Biography

Dr. Britt Drögemöller is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biochemistry & Medical Genetics at the University of Manitoba. Dr. Drögemöller holds a Tier 2 Canada Research Chair in Pharmacogenomics and Precision Medicine and is appointed as a Research Scientist at The Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba (CHRIM), an Adjunct Scientist at the CancerCare Manitoba Research Institute and a Research Affiliate at the Centre on Aging.

Dr. Drögemöller received her PhD from Stellenbosch University in South Africa in 2013 and continued her training in pharmacogenomics and precision medicine at the University of British Columbia, where she completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Canadian Pharmacogenomics Network for Drug Safety. Dr. Drögemöller’s research focuses on using large-scale genomic and computational analyses to understand the genetics underlying hearing traits, such as drug-induced and age-related hearing loss.
